Comparators will generate a redstone signal with a strength that varies dependant on how much of an item(s) there is in the storage block being observed. Since a bundle can store up to a stack, its redstone output should be dependant on how full it is. And given the concept of the bundle is to stack multiple items as one, this makes a lot of sense to add.
The main takeaway is this change will allow the existance of a nonstackable item that can produce varying redstone levels. a bundle would be the equivalence of a bit of either 1 or 0. this would massively improve the possibilities of redstone computing.
