Most of the community can say they love the capes, and you, as developers, have been giving us more and more opportunities to obtain these capes since the original Minecon events have concluded.
However, I believe it can be improved to reward dedicated players and rejuvenate interest in some of your spin-off games. The two I’m mainly referring to are Dungeons and Legends. Though they are not games for everyone, people will be more inclined to give them a chance if it means obtaining a reward in the best sandbox of all time.
I believe a simple, but build-upon-able answer to this can be taken from the original Halo 3 and its spin-off game Halo 3 ODST, where if you beat either of the game’s campaigns, or just difficult missions, on the highest difficulty, you can receive cosmetic unlocks.
Dungeons and Legends could do the same for players. For example, if I beat Dungeons on Apocalypse, I could obtain one of the capes that appear in-game or a unique cape with the Apocalypse head on it, to make it clear to Java/Bedrock players where I got it from. The same can go for Legends on the Legendary difficulty.
I know both of these games have stopped receiving updates, both for well over a year now. I know Mojang is a creative studio, and I know y’all aren’t just cooking up other Minecraft updates in there. I know y’all want even the most die-hard and tunnel visioned Minecraft players to at least try the spin-off games.
