Hi Mojang,
I play Minecraft Bedrock Edition and I’ve noticed that the ban system is still very limited compared to Java Edition. Personally, I think Bedrock should get the full set of ban and unban commands that Java has.
What I’d like to see added:
-/ban <player> [reason]: Permanently bans a player by UUID
/ban-ip <address> [reason]: Bans all connections from a specific IP
/banlist: Shows all banned players and IPs
/pardon <player>: Unbans a player
/pardon-ip <address>: Unbans an IP address
Ban files like banned-players.json and banned-ips.json for manual control
Optional formatting for ban reasons (colors, line breaks)
Why I think it’s useful:
It helps protect servers and realms from repeat offenders
Mistakes can be corrected with unban commands
It gives admins more control and flexibility
It brings Bedrock closer to Java in terms of features
I know that not everyone wants strict moderation tools in Bedrock. Some players prefer a more casual experience, and I respect that. That’s why I think these features should be optional – so server owners can decide what works best for their community.
Thanks for reading my suggestion. I really appreciate all the work you put into Minecraft!
Eric
