CAPTAIN OF THE GUARD-workstation is 1 totem of undying, 5 obsidian, 1 diamond,1 diamond sword, 1 diamond axe. Also requires armorer, weaponsmith, fletcher, and carpenter in village, or workstation will go unoccupied. Only sells. 2 guards cover 1 station in 2 shifts. If any 1 of guard types is killed, only day shift will be covered (adventure patrols excepted). Captain of the guard will sell 1 of a guard type only in the event just 1 of that guard type remains, at half cost (adventure patrols excepted). Each guard type requires 2 available barracks beds and 2 unemployed villagers.
Tower Archers: Scale archer towers and pick off enemies threatening the village. Can push boiling oil barrels (purchased from carpenter) onto enemies from above.
Village Patrols: Move randomly within the village boundaries, attack hostiles similar to iron golems
Standing Guards: Remain in an assigned location, attacking only if attacked
Mounted Guards: Patrol perimeter of village on armored horseback; can dismount and attack or run down enemies
Adventure Patrols: Up to 1 at a time can accompany player
2 Tower archers: 50 emeralds, 1 archer tower (1 archer occupies 1 tower)
2 Village patrols: 50 emeralds, 5 iron blocks
2 Standing guards: 75 emeralds, 5 diamond blocks
2 Mounted Guards: 150 emeralds, 2 tamed horses, 10 diamond blocks
2 Adventure Patrols: 300 emeralds, 20 diamond blocks, 2 available barracks beds, 2 unemployed villagers
