Cows are large mammals with substantial skeletons, yet in Minecraft they currently drop only leather and beef. This feels biologically inconsistent, especially considering that other mobs—like skeletons, horses drop bones.
Adding bones to cow drops would improve realism and expand gameplay possibilities. In real life, early humans used cow bones for tools, weapons, and art. Including bones as a drop would reflect this historical use and make Minecraft feel more immersive, especially in primitive or survival-focused settings.
This change would also benefit players who prefer peaceful gameplay. Currently, bones are primarily obtained by fighting skeletons, which may not suit all play styles. Allowing cows to drop bones offers an alternative source without disrupting combat balance.
To keep things fair and consistent:
- Only adult cows would drop bones.
- The drop rate could be low (e.g., 0–2 bones), similar to horses.
This small tweak would add depth to Minecraft’s resource system while maintaining simplicity. It supports creative play styles, historical progression, and modding potential—without interfering with existing mechanics.
Please consider making cows drop bones in future updates. It’s a subtle but meaningful change that aligns with Minecraft’s evolving world and player creativity.
