Lets talk hopper interaction with shelf blocks

Dear Minecraft Team and Players

As the title suggests, this change would affect the upcoming new shelf blocks.
The change I and a lot of redstoners would most likely love to see would be that hoppers don't pull out items from the shelf from left to right. But instead it would be pretty game changing like the shelf itself already is if the hopper starts with the slot that contains the most items.
Example: Left Slot: 7x salmons ---------> 3rd                 
                Middle Slot: 25x eggs ---------> 1st                   
                Right Slot: 19x cobblestone ->2nd
                                                                                   
                                                                                  

For this example it would mean that the 25x eggs would get pulled out first, then the 19x cobblestone and at last the 7x salmons.
This I believe "minor" change in the interaction between the hopper and shelf would allow for many new possibilities in minecraft.
