Faster minecarts made of copper

Copper Minecarts are a type of minecart that is fast when it is not oxidized, but as it oxidizes, it gets slower. R: Not oxidized:36 Blocks Per Second(BPM), Stage 1: 26 BPM, Stage 2: 16 BPM, Stage 3: 6 BPM, Stage 4: 1 BPM

The issue then is, what would the normal iron minecart have to offer? Honey isn´t precisely hard to get and you could just wax it off with your axe. I do like the idea of copper minecarts and copper rails, but maybe they should have something else? Another functionality?
