Currently, the copper golem will hold an item and stuck at attempting to sort that item forever if the copper golem grabbed something that does not meet the sorting criteria (grabbed non-stackable item / no empty chest nearby / no chest has the same item).
Thus, here is my suggestion to improve and prevent such situation:
- The copper golem will ignore all the non-stackable item / sort the non-stackable item in a chest that has the same type of item (ignoring the enchantments of that item type, if there is any)
- The copper golem returnthe item it is holding currently into the copper chest which the item was taken from, only if they cannot sort that item (No empty chest / no chest has the same item type). Then, it will take another item from the chest for sorting and repeating the process.
- If the copper golem happens to return an non-sortable item to a copper chest, it will put that item to the bottom-right-most slot of the chest. When attempting to sort new item, it will prioritize the item at the top-left-most slot of the chest.
- If the copper chest is full when copper golem attempt to return the non-sortable item, it will attempt to look for another copper chest in proximity to return the item.
By these suggestion, I expected the golem will not end up stucking at one item that cannot be sorted forever while there are other sortable itemsin the copper chest. It should be able to sort every sortable items until none of the items are sortable.
