I’m experiencing extreme overheating on my iPad Air M3/M2/M1 while playing Minecraft Bedrock Edition, even with all graphics settings turned to minimum.
• Render Distance: 6
• Fancy Graphics: OFF
• Smooth Lighting: OFF
• FPS Limited to 30
• Playing in Creative Mode, Flat World
• No shaders, no background apps
Despite all of this, the device becomes alarmingly hot within just 5 minutes.
To give a clear idea: I tested by placing an ice cube on the back of the iPad, and it completely melted in about 5 minutes of gameplay.
Other games don’t cause this. Only Minecraft does.
This shows there may be a serious performance or optimization issue between Minecraft Bedrock and Apple M3/M2/M1 processors on iPadOS. I’m concerned this level of heat could damage the device or shorten its lifespan.
Please investigate and consider optimizing the game for M3/M2/M1 chips, or provide an official workaround to reduce thermal load.
Thank you.
