With the addition of the copper golem, I wanted to propose a use for the tuff golem.
Tuff golems were originally proposed as being a mob that would hold an item, and would fluctuate between being a frozen state and roaming around.
In keeping with that concept, I propose that tuff golems be added as a unique method of loot distribution, either in a stronghold update, or in a new structure were one to be added. The structure would spawn with golems in certain cells when generated, and give them three pieces of randomized loot to hold, based on the structures loot pool. The player would then have to search around the structure and locate the golems. This gives a fun alternative to loot chests or combat drops, and incentivizes exploring the whole structure, rather than just digging in the back of a loot room.
Outside the structures, player crafted golems could be set to three modes, freeze to stay and act as unique item displays, wander to allow the golems to walk around for ambience, or follow, making the golem follow the player and help carry items, to aid in inventory management. The golems wouldn't help in combat, and would be fairly weak. However, they would not take fire, frost, or fall damage, so the items they carry would remain safe.
