While using the Vibrant Visuals setting in Minecraft Bedrock Edition, the ground does not appear wet or glossy when it rains, which reduces immersion. Adding reflective, wet-surface effects during rainfall — and allowing the ground to remain damp for a short time after rain stops — would enhance visual realism. This effect is already possible in modded Java Edition using shaders and would be a great addition as a native feature for Bedrock under Vibrant Visuals.
Request:
Introduce dynamic wet-surface rendering for terrain during and shortly after rain events when Vibrant Visuals is enabled. The effect should:
-
Make surfaces appear glossy/wet while raining.
-
Persist briefly after rainfall stops to simulate drying.
Justification:
This feature would bring Bedrock visuals closer to shader-enhanced Java experiences and significantly improve realism and immersion for players using enhanced graphics settings.
