I think that game needs more updates that don't just give new things, but ones that can build emotions and depth. Even if this idea might look like rpg addon, i think a bit of it will actually make game more diverse. It might look like selfish "mojang stop i know better than yall", but thats just example of what i mean. Idea is up, not below.
Creaking now has 4 stages: resin firelights,creaking,groaning and boss. firelights are quet flying things that rarely deals damage. They also will whisper mysterious things and give a dark atmosphere. In the 2nd&3rd night there is a creaking and in 4th+ groaning, which is buffed version of creaking that can also sometimes move despite seeing them. they will also appear earlier if the player managed to awaken the tree before 4th night, which I'll explain in a moment. pale gardens are bigger and in the middle appears a living tree with a heart that can have some good usage. active only at night and will open slowly which would make you wait until night to awaken it then, fighting creaks half night. Opened heart spawns boss, but not the usual weeping angel boss like the creaks because playing greenlight redlight is not bossfight material, maybe like enderman that appears 20 blocks from the player runs fast and deals dmg. You need reflexes and nerves of steel, cuz he won't appear constanly building pressure. Additionally for climate and easier exploration I would increase the size of the trees and decrease their density, and bit stronger fog.
