One thing I'd really like to see in Minecraft is ocean pressure working more realistically. In real life, the deeper you go into the ocean, the more dangerous the pressure becomes—and it would be amazing if the game introduced this as a new exploration challenge!
Imagine if, upon descending to great depths, the player began to suffer pressure damage, and could only explore the deepest oceans using special equipment.
That's where my idea comes in: a mineral exclusive to the oceans and the ocean depths, something rare and powerful, that only appears in abyssal ocean biomes. This mineral could be called Abyssium (or Abyssalite) and could be used to create abyssal armor that would be much better than Minecraft's copper armor.
This armor would allow you to:
Explore the depths without taking pressure damage;
Breathe underwater for much longer;
Swim faster and with more control;
Have greater protection against sea creatures.
This would pave the way for new underwater structures, unique mobs in the ocean trenches, and even temporary pressure resistance potions for those who don't yet have the full equipment.
It would be a way to make ocean exploration deeper, more dangerous, and more rewarding. What do you think?
