The Minecraft Experience campaign and its exclusive cape are amazing, but sadly, many loyal fans around the world feel left out—especially in countries where the campaign is not happening and likely never will. It's understandable that Minecraft can’t bring the campaign to every country, but this has led to a major issue:
People are reselling the Experience Cape for up to $200 online, which is completely unaffordable for most players—especially when the entire game costs far less in some countries. This situation has created a black market for a cape that many truly want, not just for rarity, but for love of the game.
I suggest two fair solutions:
1. Make the cape available via redeem codes, only in countries where the Experience campaign has not happened and is not planned.
2. Alternatively, make it purchasable in the Marketplace at an affordable, region-specific price, just for those countries, to avoid harming its value for people who got it through the official event.
This would:
Give equal recognition to global players who have no access to physical events.
Reduce black market sales and stop fans from being scammed or overcharged.
Keep the cape exclusive and meaningful without making it unreachable.
Minecraft is about community and creativity—it should include all fans, not just the ones lucky enough to live in campaign cities.
Please consider this.
