The 2GB world size limit on Minecraft for Xbox is outdated and extremely limiting, especially in 2025. With features like Redstone, commands, add-ons, RTX, and long-term survival or creative builds, world sizes can easily go beyond 2GB.
Xbox Series X and Series S have enough storage and power to support much larger save files, and the 2GB cap punishes players who want to build big or use the game’s full potential.
Many of us are hitting the limit even with just a couple of active worlds, and the only option is to delete them — which discourages creativity and hurts the experience.
Please raise the limit to at least 10GB, or give us options to:
• Manage world storage more easily
• Turn off automatic cloud sync for large worlds
• Transfer worlds externally without relying on Realms
This would make a huge difference for serious builders, long-term players, and Minecraft fans who use the game the way it was meant to be played.
