I'd suggest getting rid of the "1." and add an extra number at the end.

Firstly, the "1." only ever meant "Full Release", last incremented nearly 14 years ago and became clear shortly afterward that this franchise has a perpetual-development philosophy.
Secondly, adding an extra number at the end can cleanly separate the semantics between game drop and bug fix updates.
And lastly, having the major update as the first number makes more sense now that they won't be coming every year or so.
What about Bedrock, which already added a number for test versions? Eh, they can keep it for now.
All in all, it'd make advertising and dev coordination slightly less confusing, hopefully with more pros than cons.
If it's considered, I would highly recommend establishing it on a major update, as anything less may cause more confusion than order.
