    The copper golem really needs its own associated copper button like it did in the Mob Vote.

    Good concept but they are very picky on which chests they open and the order in which they open the chests. Hope this gets fixed!

    I just posted something about the little dude! The Trial Chamber has the potential to accidentally spawn golems with just one awkwardly placed pumpkin. I'd like to have the copper rod included in their recipe, mostly for safety porpoises.

    I love it but its not very smart, and gets stuck trying to find the right chest way too easily. It should be able to scan the X nearest chests when it grabs an item and pick the best one, and if no valid ones, randomly chose another further away

    I don't quite see the reason for why they should spawn with a copper chest, when the chest itself is craftable, so in my opinion this mechanic should be removed.

    It feels kind of weird that a two block golem structure converts not only into the golem but also another block, which does not even serve any special purpose (as far as I know about the workings of the copper golem).

    I think there should be different options their sorting abilities to generalize vs specify.

    I made a post about "programming" them to sort items differently and it's doing well so it seems people agree!

    Love that this is coming to the game! However, one of the best original features was the ability to make statues with it. Can we reintroduce the ability to "freeze" them in one place?

    This addition has got to be my all-time favorite one so far! I do have a few concerns that will probably be fixed by the time the Copper Golems are released, but I want to share them just to make sure Mojang gets a chance to see them.

    The Copper Golem shouldn't take fall damage just like how the Iron Golem and Snow Golem don't take fall damage. Especially since the Copper Golem is made out of metal.

    Chests should be removed from the copper chest crafting recipe since building Copper Golems also builds a copper chest without any wood being involved (or just remove the copper chest from spawning with the Copper Golem). Also, the modified recipe would fit in line with the other non-wood chest recipe: The Ender chest, which doesn't require a chest to craft. 

    The Copper Golem should be made with two blocks of copper instead of one. One block of copper being enough to create a Copper Golem AND copper chest doesn't make sense. A copper chest alone requires eight copper ingots to craft, which means the Copper Golem is only comprised of a single copper ingot and a jack-o-lantern. If Copper Golems were made with two blocks of copper (arranged like how Snow Golems are built), then that means a Copper Golem is comprised of a block of copper, plus a copper ingot for the lightning rod on his head (or just remove the copper chest from spawning with the Copper Golem)

    Regardless, thank you Mojang for adding the Copper Golem! :)

    I think there should be a forth pose where the golem can hold an item. Or just some way to make them hold an item.

    I feel that copper golems should prioritize chests that already have items in them over empty ones and should be able to detect chests that they can access via partial blocks. This would make it so having a 3x3 array of chests with a golem behind them standing on slabs to allow it to reach would improve its functionality, as you could then have a "misc" chest feeding via hoppers into a neighboring copper chest separated by a barrier.

    overall idea seem fine but it should have better ways to filter what chests should be to be looked for, maybe making regular (and trap) chests with added copper ingot as target chests only, differentiating only with lock knob part that is gray be copper colored golems would then look for such chests only, making much easier integrating this into bigger storage systems and making overal easier to filter what chests you want golems look for and what you want to leave empty, by using copper lock chests and regular chests


    lightning rod on head could have also some use, maybe any lightning would just speed them up significantly for while, or they could carry more items for limited time, not sure how practical but if they got lightning rod on head, they should interact with lightning in my opinion and as was told already, maybe it be needed in making golem

    not make it spawn with chest, make chest being crafted only, while golem being spawn in world alone, makes it that you dont have excessive chests or golems, if you want more chests or golems only for whatever reason

    maybe adding something like copper bell, using it to link golem to chest or block to be its "home" block to which it would always return if it do nothing, so it dont get pushed or lost too far from valid chests it can visit or seek

    maybe adding "reversed" golem that would instead look for items from other chests and bring them to its special chest from there or would point you to chest with item, tuft one maybe

    I think the Copper Golem could pick up at least 32 items. 16 is a very small amount, and the Golem very quickly forgets the chest he just accessed. Picking up 32 items at once would speed up the process even more.

    Currently (at least on the newest java snapshot) when you use a waxed copper block to spawn a copper golem, the chest is still an unwaxed one. It would make sense that if a waxed block is used, a waxed chest would be placed.

    Olá, eu testei esse golem de cobre na versão preview do bedrock, achei muito util pra ele colocar os itens em uma sala de baús, eu acho que o que podia melhorar é ele organizar, exemplo: coloquei um ferro pra ele levar e tem um baú vazio perto dele e outrou com ferros, ele podia priorizar o baú que ja tem o item que ele está levando do que somente deixar em um baú vazio.

    My biggest concern at the moment is, that the copper golem gets stuck really easily. So if it can only walk on a line of chests, it gets stuck at the third. Also they are not stackable, because they try to interact with the other copperchest. So building a sorting system is quiet hard. even more one that does not need to much space. 
    I really love the idea behind the copper golem, even more because it does a job i normaly hate (sorting random stuff in chests). but at the moment it is not working in a way, that is really usable for me.

    They shouldn't have to check every single chest. They should just be able to sense every chest within a certain radius of the copper one and automatically choose the correct one.

    Someday, I'd like to be able to give the CoGo a bundle, and it'll use the bundle to increase its carry capacity and sortable items per trip. That sounds like a fair bit of coding that could go wrong, though.

    Copper golem gonna be op cuz me and my friends are making a minecraft world and are making a huge storage room and the copper golem and allay will be a huge help! Thanks minecraft!

    I love that the golem enables non-technical wizards to make an auto sorting system. But, when talking to my technically minded friends, they are mentioning that it is just too slow to use for "competitive" sorters and because of that they aren't very excited for it. So, what if there was a way to optionally speed up the golem? Like, have it go double speed when it's standing on a powered block (like a redstone block)? Or having some sort of enchantment? Or some sort of hard to get charge pack/battery thing?

    Anyway, I'm very excited to use this feature. I think the most important aspect is that I can use it to sort my inventory (by dumping all my items in a chest). I think that would go a long way to solving the inventory issue.

    When waxing the copper golems, on a bedrock realm, instead of the button saying “Wax On” it said “action.interact.wax_on” I am not sure if this is an all of bedrock edition, but it is like this on iOS

    As somebody above has suggested, making it move a bit faster under certain conditions could be good. Maybe if the golem gets struck by lightning its speed increases? And then either when it turns into a statue, or simply oxidizes, it returns to normal speed? Could be interesting.
