Iron and Copper equipment Durability could both be increased.

Seeing as copper is meant to be a middle ground, I think the lower and higher grounds could be separated more. Diamond is so much stronger than iron and for good reason, but if a new tier is being added then I think iron could be made just a tad more stronger, and copper could still be the middle ground between stone and iron.

    Agreed... since the current durability stands at Stone with 131, Copper at 191, and Iron at 250, while Diamond is at 1561... and the fact Iron wasn't buffed after it's generation was changed in the Caves and Cliffs update seems like a critical oversight, especially if Copper is meant to be a new middle ground, but is worse than Iron was before Caves and Cliffs, and it was meant to be the Ore that replaced it...

    Upgrading the durability of both, while also giving Copper one more ore it can mine, Gold or Redstone probably being the best choice, would make it a much more enticing ore for many players.

    This is what I was hoping would originally happen if Minecraft ever added copper equipment. I think that Copper should replace iron at the 250 durability mark and that Iron tools / weapons / armor should be increased to like 800 or 850 durability. That way Iron is more useful / durable than before, but it's not quite as much as diamond at 1500 durability. This would also make more sense because historically copper is viewed as a softer / weaker metal than iron, which was why the upgrade to the iron age was viewed as significant.
