    I agree with this, it would make using the copper golem with large storage systems more feasible. I would recommend that with the 10-chest search limit, that the golem can only search the top chest and count the entire chain as one chest. To prevent massive searching time, the chain could be limited to 10 connections. The connections can be any combination of chests, double chests, barrels, hoppers, or pots. Once the 10th connection has been searched, the golem moves on to the next chest.

    personally I'm not sure about Golems putting items in chests that match items in the chests under it. I could see that backfiring, at least certainty for me, as I often have storage rooms with chests stacked on top of each other with a different selection of items in each. 

    But I do like the idea of Copper Golems only using Copper Chests that match their oxidation. I could see it been useful if for example: a larger storge room with different categories/ farm outputs in different sections, or any time you might have multiple Golems working so as to not have them all trying to path to the exact same place at once and getting in each others way.
