A big obstacle in the early to midgame for starting projects and building things is that it’s a lot more efficient to grind for enchantments and diamonds than it is to start right away with what you have. It’s pretty discouraging, and adds a lot of overhead when dying or starting a world.
Copper tools would be the PERFECT place to help balance this out, if they helped speed up building without affecting the rest of progression.
They should be near fast as gold, if not a bit less, making them perfect for taking on projects early, but worse than diamond or iron when it comes to what ores you can mine, and how much durability they have and damage they deal. Just this small tweak would give copper its niche as well as honestly be a godsend for builders and survivalists.
