So, my idea was to make it somehow possible not only to send and sort items using the Copper Golem, but also to request items from the chests around it.
Maybe Mojang could add something like a special type of copper chest specifically for the items the player requests.
The setup would include two chests in one location:
-
One input chest (which spawns with the golem)
-
One output chest (which the player has to craft using more than just copper and a regular chest)
The player would send a request for an item (or place an item in the input chest) and the golem(s) would handle the sorting.
I’m not exactly sure how the request system would work yet. Maybe there could be a request GUI built into the output chest, allowing players to request items only from chests within a certain radius. The radius could change depending on how oxidized the chest is—the more oxidized, the smaller the radius.
Also, it might be interesting if the golems moved slower the more oxidized they were.
