Minecraft really needs a new boss, and I think a Phoenix would be an interesting one. The Phoenix would be summoned from its glass nest in the desert. To summon it, place a Phoenix Egg (an Item that can be found in desert temples or through desert archeology to summon it. It catches the ground on fire and flies up 75 blocks, carrying the player with it. It will clear a space around itself as it does this and destroy any blocks the player places. The player is given fiery wings while in the arena, which can be used to glide between updrafts to stay in the arena (the player’s normal elytra will be disabled). If they fall out of the arena (within 20 blocks of the ground), the wings disappear and they fall. Fireworks cannot be used with the wings. The Phoenix has 2 attacks, both of which catch the player on fire: shooting a fireball and lunging at the player. Defeating grants the “Non Tam Sigulari Avis” achievement (Latin for not so singular bid, a reference to its classical name). It drops its feathers and heart. The feathers can be used to craft the Phoenix armor set, letting the player run faster and jump higher and be resistant to fire and fall damage. When wearing the full set, jumping while crouching will launch the player 10 blocks in the air and catch everything around their original position in a 5 x 5 x 5 on fire. This ability has a 45 second cooldown. The heart is a reusable totem of undying with a 15 minute cooldown.
