What are muroids? Muroids are a superfamily of rodents that includes mice, hamsters, gerbils, and rats. The reason why I think they should be grouped together is because they look near-similar in shape.
Looks: All muroids would have little ears and snouts. They’d come in base colors with a possibility of patterns (speckled, countershaded, etc), and tails (pink or base color) to create more variety.
Spawning: Muroids would be found in villages where cats aren’t present.
Mechanics: They will trust you if given seeds, fruits, and crops, which they eat while standing upwards. When you’re trusted, they’ll harvest nearby crops for you by dropping the crop and setting the growth stage of said crop block back by 1-2 stages, making the crops much easier to harvest than if it were a villager.
By adding muroids, players would have cute new companions that create a fairy-tale feel with their mechanic, as well as more efficient farms!
