Hi Mojang Team,
Thanks for all the incredible work you’ve done on Minecraft! I’d like to suggest adding humans as NPCs alongside or instead of villagers.
I understand concerns about player confusion, villagers being iconic, and development complexity. However, players adapt quickly, major updates like the terrain overhaul (1.17-1.18), Pillager raids, and new mobs show the community embraces change. Villagers have been around for years, but Zombie Pigmen were replaced by Zombified Piglins, proving Minecraft evolves. Plus, many players find villagers limited or unrealistic.
Adding humans would boost immersion with richer behaviors, deeper relationships, and realistic village life. Mods like MCA Reborn demonstrate how humans can add meaningful gameplay without breaking the game. Mojang has the talent and resources to develop a balanced system that’s accessible but engaging. The community clearly wants more lifelike NPCs to make villages feel dynamic and alive.
Minecraft already mixes fantasy and realism like magic, tech, and darker themes so humans fit perfectly. Introducing humans could attract new players, increase engagement, and keep the game fresh and exciting for veterans. It would unlock new storytelling, roleplay, and village management possibilities.
Please consider this seriously. Adding humans would greatly enrich gameplay, deepen immersion, and help Minecraft grow with its passionate community.
Thanks for listening!
