Allow saving game state manually

I am a father of a kid who loves playing Minecraft. However, he's not able to complete things and save game state when Minecraft saves it, and he has play timoe constraints.
Please do what is responsible and allow manual saving of a state. I won't allow my son to finish something that will take 2-3 hrs of him being tied to a screen, absolutely no way. I'd rather find him another game which allows saving game state. Yes, I am also a gamer.

    A workaround to this can be described as follows:

    • PS4: The console can be set to rest mode. The game can then be returned to a temporary save state.
    • Nintendo Switch: The console can be set to sleep mode. The game can then be returned to a temporary save state.
    • PC: The computer can be set to hibernate state. The game can then be returned to a temporary save state.
