For every game update Mojang makes that affects the game's commands, the datapacks on my server (and countless other creators) are drastically affected.
I have a server with a datapack that modifies and adds loot tables for blocks, chests and entities... I have around 5,300 different loot entries.
I just can't afford to pay programmers to update this data again. The jump from 1.19 to 1.21 was very aggressive, and I couldn't do it on my own, i had to pay people to update them.
I’d greatly appreciate it if Mojang provided an official tool to streamline datapack updates. At the very least, when Mojang alters component code, creators shouldn’t be left to figure out fixes entirely on their own.
EXTRA:
If Mojang can’t develop an updater themselves, officially endorsing/supporting third-party tools like Misode’s tools would be a huge help for us creators. Right now, Misode is doing monumental work that should be Mojang’s responsibility. This might help him create this solution i'm propsing.
