When it comes to Parity, Mojang is doing it in a way that upsets players, mainly removing edition specific features.
An example being the player's arrow displaying the direction it is facing at when being beyond the edge in Bedrock, well, not anymore, thanks to Parity.
Another example is the cobweb to string crafting recipe, another good Bedrock feature that got removed, which was very possible to add to Java, like, players make custom crafting recipes with vanilla items all the time, so there was no reason to remove it.
TL;DR : Bring back edition specific features that got removed in the name of parity, and then, AND ONLY THEN, try bringing them to the other edition of Minecraft.
(adjusting recipes like the boat and barrel are ok, but stripping down features is not)
