After taking a look at the Vibrant Visuals, I noticed that lightning doesn't produce a flash when it strikes. It would be great to implement some kind of flash on the player's screen if they are nearby, along with a visual effect when it hits the ground or a lightning rod. This would create a more immersive experience during storms, especially from a distance, allowing players to see the lightning causing flashes and thus adding depth to the weather atmosphere.
The distance at which lightning flashes can be seen could vary depending on the biome. In Pale Garden, for example, due to its dense fog, lightning wouldn't be visible from far away. However, in a mountain biome, it should be easier to see it from a distance.
The screen flash shouldn’t be too aggressive, and its intensity should be adjustable—or even allow for color inversion, making the white flash black—to ensure photosensitive individuals don’t experience any issues. This system could also be used for other future effects to help prevent problems for people with this condition.
