Vibrant visuals missing shadows on copper

Some blocks that I would have expected shadows to be cast by currently lack any shadow or cast full shadows even when parts of the texture are transparent. Copper grates cast no shadow at all and copper trapdoors cast whole shadows. It would be interesting to see the textures come through in the shadows.
