Pigeons of Peace: Mob Proposal for Villager Trade & Symbolism

Dear Mojang Studios,

Greetings!

I propose adding Pigeons to Minecraft as a symbol of peace, especially given the current global climate of unrest and the prevalence of hostile mobs in-game.

Pigeon Mechanics:

• Health: 4 HP (2 hearts).

• Spawning:

  • Naturally spawn in Villages with a 10% chance per village.

  • After a Raid, if villagers survive, 1-2 Pigeons will appear near 2-3 randomly selected villagers.

• Drops:

  • Bloodstained Pigeon Feather (dropped if killed, not recommended).

  • Pigeon Feather (dropped when a baby pigeon grows into an adult).

• Breeding: Feed two Pigeons Seeds to produce a baby pigeon.

Craftable Items:

1. Pigeon Circlet:

   • Recipe: 3 Pigeon Feathers arranged in a crafting grid similar to the Iron Bucket (a “V” shape).

   • Effect:

     • +15% villager profession upgrade speed when trading.

     • -1 Emerald cost for trades.

2. Bloodstained Circlet:

   • Recipe: 3 Bloodstained Pigeon Feathers (same pattern).

   • Effect:

     • -15% villager profession upgrade speed.

     • +1 Emerald cost for trades.

Additional Notes:

• Equipping either Circlet replaces the player’s Cape visually until removed.
