When you are making your redstone suggestions, please note that Java and Bedrock will not have the exact same the same redstone systems - this would require redoing redstone system completely on one platform or the other. The two systems are functionally different and are going to stay that way. Please be sure to tag your suggestions with (Java) or (Bedrock).

Redstone Repeater Mode Shift Proposal

How about being able to switch only the signal amplification function by left-clicking while shifting the repeater?
 
This would allow more precise signal strength circuits—signal delay (up to 4 ticks) stays the same, but the repeater no longer resets the input strength to 15.
That means we could apply delay without unintentionally boosting the signal, and eliminate interference from side signals more easily.

    You can kinda get exactly what you said by using comparators

    While it may seem that a comparator can achieve almost the same result, there are important differences.
    Comparators are sensitive to side redstone input, and they can only apply a 1-tick delay while preserving signal strength.
    As a result, using them for control often requires extra space and complexity in the circuit.

    This proposed repeater modification is aimed at providing a simple wiring component that allows signal delay without amplification and without interference from side inputs—ideal for clean, compact signal timing and strength-based logic.
