Fire shouldn't cast shadows

    if you meant the campfire has a shadow then yes it shouldnt but if you mean the light source emits light that light cast shadows if a block is in the way please explain    sorry if my english is bad

    so looking more into this I found-

     

    Under normal lighting a fire will not produce a solid shadow. the lighting required for a shadow is that the fire is under a much brighter light source the itself i.e. if hit directly by the suns light on a non cloudy day around noon-ish.

    So in around mid day the shadow of a fire outside should be very faint and wavy mostly almost invisible if not looking for it. cause by the heat of the fire, soot in it and what the fuel source is. but at night there should be no shadow.
