So, I've been playing around with the Happy Ghast on one of my survival worlds, and I love having my special lil balloon buddy, however in playing around on survival, I've found out a few things that are more of a struggle than it should be. I prefer letting my ghast fly free, and since the Happy ghast remains in a set "home base" kinda area, I'm never too worried about losing him, or him running away. However, in wanting him to be a free happy lil balloon, it can be a struggle sometimes to get him to come down to pick me up. The only solution so far I've found (that kinda works) is to simply stare directly at him until he lowers down enough to pick me up. And even then, sometimes he lifts off before I can reach him! It can be a struggle to get to him without him being tied down, and even when he is, it can be a struggle to attach leads and the like.
So, two ideas came to mind! Why not let us use the goat horns to call our happy ghast to us? Not only that, but what if the Ghast could enter a "mounting stage", similar to how it acts when you stand on top of it? Call the ghast down, and it stays still in a low, reachable area. If the player moves away or ignores it, it can go back to minding its business. This way, we can have just a little more control over the ghasts, in a way that I feel would make sense for a tamed mount. And then we can still have our friends floating along nearby, without the hassle!
