    Allow sprinting while riding a Happy Ghast, just like camels can sprint.

    I think we need upgrades or equipment for mobs that can be tamed. Horses need horseshoes and more armor (waterwalking horseshoes or diving armor as example) and happy ghasts need something for speed but I cant think of anything... propeller would look weird.

    Yes!

    If you need it to build, just move slower. Its speed shouldn't affect how you build with it.
    If you think it makes the elytra useless, no it doesn't. Same way the upcoming copper armor doesn't make stone or iron armor tiers useless.

    Increase the speed so it doesn't feel like you're flying molasses. Maybe speed potions, or maybe it picks up considerable speed above the clouds. The current speed is just incredibly frustrating, even for building. I would rather use scaffolding.

    Maybe Mojang can tweak the Ghast animation speed in the next patch. Or a resource pack could fix it temporarily?

    I thought it would be waaay faster when they released, but it moves so slow it isn't worth the many nether deaths.

    i think it would be fair if the hapy ghast could be affected by speed potions since it won't make it super fast and only for limited time.

    They can start out fast and get slower the more things you attach to them

    Maybe instead have this feature: if you ride a boat carried by a happy ghast, the lead the boat is attached to it would snap, so I suggest making the boat rideable without the lead snapping.

    the happy ghast isn't supposed to replace elytra as a movement tool. It's more of a tool for building up high/transporting mobs.

    It's meant to be a relatively early game method of flight, and not be too overpowered. As such its speed is appropriate.
