This theory reinterprets the Deep Dark biome as a living portal, not a traditional structure. The sculk is not corruption—it’s the portal itself, leaked from a realm the Ancient Builders never meant to touch.
The Warden is not a boss. It’s a white blood cell, summoned by shriekers and sensors—a nervous system reaction to your presence. The Ancient Cities aren’t ruins—they’re impact zones, built as bunkers, later consumed by the very thing they tried to harness.
Even in peaceful mode, the biome feels eerie and wrong.
That’s because you’re not supposed to be there.
Because the portal didn’t open—you’re already inside it.
