console multiplayer without purchasing any subscriptions

As a console player, I do not want to be limited to just singleplayer, its unfair that the user has to use MONEY to buy the console then buy the game, only for them to see that they still need to pay an expensive subscription just to play multiplayer.

Some games achieved multiplayer without needing a subscription, so why cant Minecraft do the same? im sure that this change can get more players closer together and play together in their worlds. Please hear this out! I do not want to keep changing devices when I want to play multiplayer.
