Something i noticed after playing Minecraft Dungeons, is that there are entirely new mobs that could fit in Vanilla Minecraft, i will only select those i believe are truly deserving.
The Wraith: Wraiths could work exactly like in dungeons, they could float like a blaze, creating soul fire beneath the player after raising it's arms, they would appear only between 10pm and 2am in dark oak forests or abandoned villages (and maybe in caves?), their eyes could glow like the enderman's, it's drop could be a piece of it's cloak, that could be crafted into the Soul Robe, and it could make the player steps and only the steps, silent and unable to cause vibrations
The Whisperer: Whisperers would spawn on the jungle as they do in Minecraft Dungeons, however, it could also spawn in lush caves, and since i believe it would be quite hard to program it's variety of attacks, perhaps only attacking with entagle vines and hitting the player physically, it could drop a poison blossom ( like the spore blossom, but grounded ) and it could serve as decoration, poison entities that step in it and possibly craft a vine whip, that would act as a far ranged and slow sword.
Wisps: Wisps have stayed on my mind ever since i saw them in the ancient hunt, they could spawn with Wraiths, be tameable using ghast tears and ward off the Warden, it wouldn't have any drops
