Silverfish are mobs known currently mostly for those occasional moments where one tosses you into the pit of lava in the end portal. While funny and/or tragic, there should be more to silverfish than them just being pests. I think that silverfish should be individualized and have special abilities depending on how it's adapted to a cave environment. A deep dark silverfish would be weak from not being able to sustain itself without being noticed by the warden, but it would be able to sneakily bite the player to possibly snitch on the warden. To counterbalance this, the silverfish would cause a glowing effect and/or leave a trail of light that slowly fades since it needs to be able to see in the dark, meaning players can detect it via their sight while wardens cannot. A lush cave silverfish could be able to climb walls like a spider, maybe even a ceiling, but would be bigger with shrubbery growing out of it, making it bulkier but also an easier target. A dripstone caves silverfish would likely disguise as a stalagmite, waiting for the player to drop onto them to bite, possibly appearing in packs. This would add a recurring threat to caves which would make the experience more memorable, as the encounters would create a more cohesive string of events, making the sequence more interesting. Plus the silverfish could really use this considering currently the only 2 applications it has are in the stronghold and in random blobs. It would help flesh out a weird, weak aspect of mining.
