"Old Style" Textures for New Blocks and Items in Developer Art

I love the Developer Art resource pack. As someone who started playing MC in 2010, there's hardly anything about the game I enjoy more visually than still being able to see what the blocks and items in the game looked like back then in modern versions. Some of these old textures are classics that I couldn't ever think to try to replace.

However, as Minecraft advances and grows to possess more and more features, the new blocks and items don't fit the style that old Minecraft possessed; some things look a little too modern and polished to fit in with the old style that seems more rough around the edges.

It would be wonderful to see blocks and items redone to mimic the "old" Minecraft style; it would definitely make the Developer Art pack look just a little more like the old days.

    Great idea, although I can't see Mojang ever doing it. In fact, I can see them phasing out the developer texture pack sometime soon. Your best bet is to find a community-made pack that does that. Again, I'd love to see this happen, but I'm just being realistic.
