abandoned iron golems

Some time ago I found an abandoned village in my world of survival, here I asked myself: What happened to the Iron golems? ... My suggestion is to add in the abandoned villages the rusty Iron golems or the abandoned Iron golems, those that already They do not have any function since there are no villagers, a kind of hostile Iron golems that have gone mad by not having a function in life, some Iron golems that always attack the player, and that somehow heal, one of those forms is take him to a village and revert to being a normal Iron golem.

The villages are likely abandoned because Zombies or Pillagers killed everyone... including any Iron Golems that might have been there.
