Too many decorative blocks when mining?

Im not sure if it's just me, but like a third of my inventory is filled with functionally useless blocks when mining underground. There's andesite,, tuff, cobbled deepslate, diorite, eg. and soon. I feel like there's way too many "useless" blocks when mining underground, and it's giving me inventory management issues and it's actually quite anoying. I feel like there needs to be some functional purpose to most of these decorative blocks or else it's not a great addition to the game. I would rather have more variety of ores for different tiers of armor than just more decorations.

blocks with only aesthetic uses should not be piling up into our inventory as we play the game unless we are actively seeking them out, but the underground is scattered with so many of these blocks that to dig in a straight line would fill our inventory with garbage as a consequence

    Building is part of Minecraft. Decorative blocks are GOOD. So what if your inventory fills up? Just throw stuff out. And there are Villagers that will give you Emeralds for those kinds of blocks, so they're not that useless.
