craftable map to show cords and keep track of "waypoints"

i was thinking the other day It would be great to have some sort of craftable map that player could make once and they can then keep track of waypoints. I'm sure all community member would agree keeping track of cord's are some of the more difficult/frustrating parts, also keeping the f3 menu open isn't always ideal. so I thought perhaps you guys could make a special map maybe using an (empty map, they compess, and a pen n quill, and the new telescope). Players could make some type of special map they can't lose to help them keep track of locations, then they could hold it in there off hand during travels, showing their current location and a small list of cords. adding a similar funtionality as Voxelmap.. im sure TONS of ppl have requested that be added in vanilla Mc so im not gonna bother, but i thought this might be a stripped down version you may be more interested in impelmenting... anyways Cheers all, and ty for all your great work and efforts.

    I agree that a map you are able to craft to drop a pin to mark coordinates of cool things you find exploring but have no time to investigate (ex. Shipwrecks) I have actually been lost before cuz after awhile everything looks the same and I rarely bother to physically write down coordinates. Marking home base would be helpful as well. Thank you
