Level of Detail - Render distance
I am a little bit surprised that Minecraft doesn't use a Lower amount of detail in its far away rendered visuals such as far away mountains. Of course this would lower the load to render since as you get closer to an object, the more detailed it would be (up to normal Minecraft graphics). After all many games use this and Minecraft is known for a bit more troublesome running, at least java is.
Plus if posible then it could be made an option to turn on and off or even have a medium for beter user flexibility in the graphic's settings. Thhis means thet those who could use it will and those who do not want it can ignore it, just like autojumping.
