Lanterns, maybe torch's in off-hand

Holding a lantern in your off-hand should provide light around you maybe a torch would work the same

    Yes all items grab in off hand and sword,pickaxe,axe,hoe,crossbow,bow and also trident will use as they perform

    Would love to have the ability to use the torch in my off hand for Bedrock like you can in Java.

    On mobile I'd settle for having torches give off light when in main hand, like they seem to in Java version - that would be a great improvement as it is...

    A torch/ lantern in your main hand should also provide light, you just can't use any other items while using it.

    Yes this is desperately needed since coal is not generated in deep slate. I hate having to stop caving to go find a mountain for coal

    It's 2023 and Mojang still don't let us hold a freaking torch or lantern in our off hand in Minecraft Bedrock. That's amazing.
    If they make Minecraft DXR truly a thing and not only a tech demo, this will be totally necessary, cause we can't see a thing inside caves and putting torches everywhere is very mood breaker when you just want to go deep exploring. Jeez, Mojang... C'mon!
