I feel like Cave Spiders, although annoying, have some potential as naturally-spawning mobs, as well as mobs that spawn in mineshafts like they normally do.
Cave Spiders should have around a 2%-3% chance of replacing a normal Spider upon spawning, if said Spider happened to spawn below y=-32.
Cave Spiders should also get a small model and texture update, being hairier and having longer legs. Finally, they would have a new, unique drop. Said drop is the "Poisonous Fang" - you could right-click a cauldron with one to produce a small amount of "liquid poison". Once this is done, the fang will turn into a bone.
After you fill the cauldron with liquid poison (by using 3 fangs), you could right-click the cauldron with a sword or axe to add an effect to the weapon of choice, but it would also drain the cauldron entirely. This effect would inflict Poison I for maybe around 5 seconds.
If you use an arrow on it, instead, it would give you a Poison Tipped Arrow, and would drain only one level of liquid poison rather than the entire cauldron.
That's about it. Thanks for the read.
