Minecraft Java has a serious issue with its username filter. It's riddled with false positives, but is also extremely easy to bypass. I've seen people have the N-word as their name by changing 1 letter. It's really annoying that I and others are dealing with filter issues while people who are actually saying inappropriate things are able to get away with it. I've been trying to change my username for security reasons for the past 2 years, since my current username has my legal name in it, and I'm not comfortable with that anymore. On all of the websites I've signed up to in the past 10+ years of me using the internet, Minecraft Java has been the only place I've had this problem. I feel that something can be done to fix this, and I have an idea: If a name is blocked by the filter, a request can be sent in to Mojang for them to review the name, and see if its a false positive or not. To prevent trolls spamming them with useless requests, make it so that names that have already been turned down once or twice before be marked specifically as inappropriate, (ex: "This name has been deemed inappropriate by Mojang. You'll have to select a different one.") so they can spend all of their time looking at requests that might actually help people get out of this situation.
