Planetary Minecraft/Galaxy Minecraft

Can we make Minecraft maps like a planet? So instead of it going on forever we can go round and round? If so, can we make sections of the planet different servers? Like continents? Therefore, can we eventually develop galaxy Minecraft? And travel from planet to planet? Thank you so much for reading, and I hope I can help in anyway to expand your game :)
