Microsoft Minecraft bedrock account management

So I signed into my Microsoft account and I own a copy of Minecraft in that account but on my Xbox. And I know how it’s once you buy Java once, then you can download it on all devices. But will it be that way for Bedrock? I thought I would be able to download Minecraft on IOS since I have on Xbox, and they are both Minecraft bedrock... Will that change...?
