Banners on sheilds

In java edition you can put your banner on your sheild to customize it, but only in Java. I play on console and I wish  i could puut my banner on my sheilds, last console updade added that you  could use dye to change text on signs, something that was only possible on Java, I wauld be happy if you did the sami with banners on sheilds.

    Yes Banners on Shields, Also Upgradable Shields. Reinforcement? Immunity from the Wither effect? make them Possibly Boss Mob dropped books? Maybe combine a won undying totem with a shield so the totem effect is lost when resurrecting the player just like now but you retain the shield, and the shield has gained some type of graphical detail showing it saved its owner? Maybe a diagonal bar on the face of the shield with a imprint of the totem at center?
