Buildings in the desert are covered with sand.

By this I mean that a similar effect to that of snow happens in their respective biomes, where a small or large layer of snow is created on top of the blocks, but in this case, it would be sand.

    Renewable sand? I approve.

    Many players have proposed adding sandstorms in the past, so that seems like a likely way to make this happen, but it all depends on Mojang.

    Perhaps it should also be a feature of beach biomes, with the idea that water is washing the sand onto shore. In that case, it would probably only make sense to generate either when a water source block nearby, and/or on top of a sand block.
